Surreal

This series is inspired by Rene Magritte’s surrealist painting “The Banquet”. As the series has progressed, its meaning has revealed itself. These are mundane images with something unavoidable hanging in them. In a macro view, a reminder that it’s getting harder to go about our daily lives and not notice the state of world. Spiraling climate change, war, and inequality. But it they also work on a personal level. Big questions and things left unresolved or unsaid. Always there. Waiting.
